I founded my first company, Whale Estate, in 2014 with a focus on acquiring distressed properties, managing full-scale renovations, and reselling them through my own real estate brokerage. Over several years, my team and I successfully completed 50+ residential projects across South Florida, the Jacksonville area, and Florida’s west coast.

Through this experience, I gained a deep understanding of construction, project management, and what homeowners value most—quality workmanship, transparency, and reliability. In 2019, I recognized a significant gap in the roofing industry, where many homeowners were struggling to find contractors who consistently delivered on those principles. In response, I launched Whale Roofing & Construction in 2020.

Today, Whale Roofing & Construction is built on a foundation of hands-on construction expertise spanning remodeling, renovations, new construction, and specialized trades. My background allows me to approach every project with a long-term mindset, ensuring work is completed to the highest standards of performance, durability, and code compliance.

Outside of business, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying active through pickleball.

Jacob Irvin With over 20 years of roofing experience, I began my career volunteering with nonprofit organizations, helping build places of worship while learning the trade from the ground up. That foundation led to a 15-year professional career specializing in residential metal roofing in the Carolinas. After moving to South Florida more than 10 years ago, I expanded my expertise into both residential and commercial roofing, with a focus on durable, code-compliant roofing systems designed for coastal conditions.At Whale Roofing, we prioritize craftsmanship, quality materials, and a smooth, transparent roofing process—ensuring every customer is satisfied not only with the finished roof, but with the entire experience.

David Walker

David Walker is the Chief Sales Officer for Whale Roofing and Construction, bringing nearly two decades of experience across real estate, asset management, construction, estimating and insurance claims to the role. Originally from Texas, David relocated to South Florida 15 years ago, where he built a strong career rooted in market expertise, construction, and client relations.

David graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics. He began his professional journey as a REO Asset Manager, a position he held for five years, followed by another five years as a licensed real estate agent. He later spent six years working as a public adjuster in both Florida and Texas, gaining deep insight into property damage claims and homeowner representation.

In early 2025, David transitioned into the role of Chief Sales Officer at Whale Roofing, where he leverages his diverse background to drive strategic growth, strengthen client relationships, and deliver results-focused
